PATTI CAKES! New Olive Oil Soap!
Well, here it is Patti Cakes! New Olive Oil Soap! Do you think you can brainstorm some names? The scent is Almond with a hint of Rose, mostly Almond though. It hardened into a nice bar which should have some lasting qualities if kept out of water when not in use. I poured the grape leaf mold and a pipe mold, but will buy an olive motif mold soon, just for this recipe. I added parsley flakes for color, otherwise the bar is in the natural state; a lovely tan/ivory shade.

I had a very big “Soaping Day” yesterday and made over 125 bars of various sorts: Taj Mahal – a jasmine scent, Burmese Wood – an incense aroma, Patchouli Breeze – Patchouli with White Tea & Ginger, Winter Candy Apple – a favorite cold weather scent, Simply Soap – unscented, a double color/double scent pour that I have named Citrus Delight, the Olive Oil soap and 2 different New Moons. A very productive day! Today I finished off the double pour of the New Moons really going for color now that I know some scents morphed the original color of the last batch. This time one New Moon WILL be the blue and yellow (Black Amber Musk/Sweet Pea) and the other will be dark brown for the small center and natural ivory for the outer pour (Vanilla Bean/Lemon Curd). The center on the first bar will darken to a mahogany and the yellow outer on the second bar will also deepen in color. I will post more photos when the soap is cured. Both bars contain mango butter!

Our WASH TIME Laundry soap is moving well and I have added a few new scents. Basically, the laundry soap can be scented with any of the essential oils or fragrance oil that I have on hand. I have come to the conclusion that Winter Candy Apple makes the absolute best laundry soap scent! Here are a couple more pics of soap.

I’ve been wanting to try an olive oil soap too. Just haven’t done it yet. I heard they like to turn out GREEN! If I make it through tonight without anybody shooting me (my mother just called and let me know we have a shooter holed up somewhere in Concord or Spout Spring..she heard it on the radio and she lives in OREGON!)then I’ll come and see Miss Annabelle. I looked for her today out in the pasture when I drove by…I thought she might just look like a big goat, but I didn’t see her. I got kids wanting to get out of their mum tonight, and I’m too scared to go outside in the dark!
I sure do wish I had a TV here so I’d know when they catch that guy.
