We are well on our way to creating an inventory of Night Sky Farm Goat Milk Soap and most certainly by the Fall we will have a varied assortment of scents and accompanying nourishing oils such as, mango and shea butter, palm and olive oils. Soaps are sold with a luxurious qrganza bag with a satin drawstring. I even found some midnight blue colored bags printed with tiny, silver stars. So, the soap as purchased can go as is to someone for a gift. All you need to get is a card.
I am already planning on some interesting scents for the Fall season; Harvest Apple & Spice and Lemongrass & Sage. For the Winter season; Almond & Vanilla, Peppermint and Chocolate. You can not eat these soaps, but they certainly sound and smell like the real thing.
The soaps pictured are all goat milk soaps with the oils of coconut, canola and safflower. The bars are named to represent the fragrance inside: “Lavender & Roasemary”, “Eucalyptus & Lavender”, “Burmese Wood” an incense-type scent with an earthy tone, “Sunrise” White Tea & Ginger with orange peel incorporated, “Taj Mahal” sweet floral scent of jasmine cassis and “Patchouli Breeze” patchouli with a bit of lavender and a smidgen of White Tea & Ginger also tossed in is some basil leaf for color. All the colors of the soaps are either naturally created or the soap has natural oxides added such as, ultramarine oxide and chromium oxide. Natural oxides are approved by the FDA for use in soap as colorants. I will be adding various soaps as they are created, but for now this is what the inventory looks like.
Last week, we spent some time making the wooden trays to not only display the soap bars, but also to store them in. The trays with their bars are put into plastic tubs when they are not sitting out on the market tables. Each tray holds between 22 and 24 bars, 11 to 12 on a side – the perfect amount. The less one handles the soap, the better it is for the soap. All the left-over ends are cut in half-rounds or squares , stamped with our thistle or dragonfly and sold as samples, they sit in a small basket on the market table. In Roanoke last Saturday, our new soap was very well received and over half of what was brought to the market was sold. Keep checking back for new soap pics and updates on available scents and moisturizing oils!

LOVE your soaps and Laundry Soaps.
We purchase these from Off The Vine Market and they ship to our family in England for us. They received some samples from Off The Vine Market and now are begging for more. We are taking some soaps with us to Spain and Italy, so they can lather up in these glorious soaps.
We also recently got brave and tried one of your goat cheeses as Tess Schaffner said they were not goaty. We did not tell our children what is was nor did I tell my husband. Everyone loved the samples Tess gave us. We are ordering MORE!!!!!!
